About the network

Free public internet, accountable and monitored

The Universal Service Fund exists to bridge the information gap — ensuring that access to the internet is not determined by where a person lives or what they can afford. The Community Wi-Fi network is a direct expression of that mandate: dependable, no-cost connectivity in the places Jamaicans gather.

This status page exists for transparency. Anyone can check whether a site is working before making the trip, and see at a glance how the network as a whole is performing.

The Community Wi-Fi Programme

A Universal Service Fund initiative bringing free public internet access to town centres, plazas, and community spaces across Jamaica's parishes — closing the digital divide, one location at a time.

How this page works

Each site reports live telemetry — connectivity, backup power, and link health — to a central monitoring system. This page reads that data directly and refreshes on its own, so what you see is current.

Who operates it

The network is operated and monitored 24/7 on the Fund's behalf. When a site goes offline or switches to backup power, the operations team is alerted automatically and this page reflects it.

Site Administrator Access
